The later entries in the subseries did feature a version of the feature, with Mario vs. Cheating can similarly unlock the code for the planned Level Editor, though the feature is particularly broken and unfinished. Hacking the game reveals several lost levels and elements that were locked behind e-Reader functionality. Donkey Kong, it was discovered that the Level Editor remained for the majority of the game's development. Despite its absence in the released edition of Mario vs. Likewise, there was no Gamecube Link Cable functionality, cementing the lack of the feature. The Level Creator was gone, meaning that the only levels that players could traverse were the ones already there.
